The very first Polyphonic Three kicks off with local hero and friend of the show John Vella.
John is a Sydney born and bred singer/songwriter. Performing on stage with his band, their sound is characterised by depth, lyrical story-telling, and intelligent composition & arrangement. John is a firm believer in the groove and spreads his vibe light the sun spreads its warmth. Key influences can be found in John Mayer and Ryan Adams. Recently supported Thirsty Merc @ the Metro. Next up are Babe Shadow. Floating on a summer’s breeze of good vibration moonshine, NME declared them as ‘an Arcadian beat-combo for our time’ and has featured heavily in press and on their blogs. We think they’re the breakthrough band to watch this year. With good management behind them and a string of high profile support acts including festivals and Florence & the Machine. They make a jubilant and lovelorn guitar-twanging type of pop music, for steamy nights with romancers and dancers.

Lastly we had Johnson-Jay who we didn’t know too much about. But it was our first show, and we liked his music so we gave it a whirl. It went well. Let us your thoughts, we’re new and would love some feedback! xxx

Good work us two. I for appreciate our efforts. Eek.
