Normally trips back home are all about cups of tea at in the inlaws house and long bouts of motorway driving in the rain. This year was different. Fresh of the plane we jumped on a boat and headed for the last of the UK’s big summer festivals. Nestled on the Isle of White Bestival is a sprawling, sun drenched, hive of activity set in the rolling British countryside. Among the bands included Stevie Wonder, Azealia Banks, Florence and the Machine, Django Django, Roots manuva, Two Door Cinema Club, Ben Howard…. the list goes on and on and on.
Brilliant fun, loads of different areas filled with tents, activities, side shows, food stalls, and places to explore. Bestival was my first British festival in almost a decade and I forgot just how large the venues spread. Stand out acts were The XX and Florence who smashed out Friday nights music. Ben Howard who is a demon on the live stage and random act of the weekend must go to 100% Beefcock and the Titsburster.
